dumbbell row

Bent-over lifting motion

A dumbbell row is a strength training exercise where you pull a dumbbell toward your torso while bent forward, typically with one hand braced on a bench for support.

The movement targets the back muscles, particularly the latissimus dorsi: I do three sets of dumbbell rows after deadlifts.

Also called a one-arm row or bent-over row.
