Dolphinfish is a large, brightly colored ocean fish prized for sport and food.
It has nothing to do with dolphins—the name comes from the fish's blunt, rounded forehead.
In restaurants and markets, dolphinfish is usually sold as mahi-mahi to avoid confusion with the marine mammal: We ordered the grilled mahi-mahi.
