albacore
Pale-fleshed tuna
Albacore is a species of tuna prized for its mild flavor and light-colored flesh.
It's the only tuna that can legally be labeled "white meat" in the United States, making it the standard for canned white tuna: I'll have the albacore salad.
Albacore are smaller than bluefin and yellowfin tuna, typically caught in temperate waters worldwide.
