Bicycle power linkage

A crank arm is a rigid bar attached at one end to a rotating shaft, converting rotational motion to reciprocal motion or vice versa.

In cycling, the crank arms connect the pedals to the bottom bracket, transferring leg power to the drivetrain: I need to replace my left crank arm.

The term appears in any mechanism using this lever principle.
