crankpin
Connecting rod pivot
A crankpin is the cylindrical pin on a crankshaft to which a connecting rod is attached.
In engines, the crankpin converts the reciprocating motion of pistons into rotational motion that drives the wheels or other machinery.
The term combines crank, referring to the bent arm of the shaft, with pin, the projecting piece that serves as the attachment point.
