costuming
Dressing for performance
Costuming is the art or practice of designing, making, or selecting costumes, especially for theatrical productions, films, or other performances.
The term covers both the creative process and the finished work: The costuming in that period drama was impeccable.
It also applies to dressing up generally: Halloween costuming has become increasingly elaborate.
