tulle

Bridal veil material

Tulle is a fine, lightweight netting fabric, often made of silk, nylon, or rayon.

It appears most commonly in wedding veils, ballet tutus, and formal gowns, where its sheer, delicate quality creates volume without weight: layers of white tulle cascading from the bodice.

The fabric takes its name from Tulle, a city in France.
