termini

Where lines end

Termini is the plural of terminus—an endpoint, boundary, or final destination.

The word appears most often in technical or formal contexts: the termini of a nerve fiber, the termini of a railway line.

The two termini of the transcontinental railroad met at Promontory Summit.

The alternative plural terminuses is also correct but less common.
