chipmunk
Stripy ground squirrel
A chipmunk is a small, striped rodent related to squirrels, native to North America and parts of Asia.
Chipmunks have distinctive markings—light and dark stripes running along the back and face—and characteristically stuff their cheek pouches with seeds and nuts.
They live in underground burrows and are commonly seen in wooded areas and suburban yards.
