Braised shredded pork
Carnitas is a Mexican dish of pork that has been braised or simmered until tender, then shredded and often crisped.
The word is Spanish for "little meats." Carnitas typically appears as a taco filling or in burritos: I'll have the carnitas tacos with extra salsa.
