Minimal camping shelter
A bivvy is a small, lightweight shelter used for sleeping outdoors—essentially a waterproof cover for a sleeping bag.
The term comes from bivouac.
Climbers, backpackers, and soldiers use bivvies when minimal gear matters: We didn't bother with tents, just bivvied under the stars.
