Word of God
The holy Bible
Word of God refers to sacred scripture, especially the Bible in Christian contexts, understood as divine communication to humanity.
The phrase treats religious texts as direct or inspired messages from God rather than merely human compositions: The preacher said we must live by the Word of God.
It can also refer to Jesus Christ himself in Christian theology, drawing on the Gospel of John's identification of Christ as the divine Logos made flesh.
