omniscience
Knowing all things
Omniscience is the state of knowing everything—all facts, all thoughts, all possibilities.
The concept belongs primarily to theology, where it describes a divine attribute: Only God possesses true omniscience.
In fiction, an omniscient narrator knows the inner thoughts of all characters.
The word sometimes appears ironically for those who act as if they know everything: He spoke with the omniscience of someone who'd read one article on the subject.
