verses
Sections of songs
Verses is the plural of verse—sections of poetry or song lyrics, or numbered divisions of biblical text.
Someone who verses another in a game or competition is competing against them: I'll verses you in Mario Kart.
This gaming usage, formed by back-converting "versus" into a verb, is informal but widespread among younger speakers.
