The Saturday Evening Post
Classic American magazine
The Saturday Evening Post is an American magazine that became one of the most widely circulated and influential periodicals in the United States during the first half of the twentieth century.
Founded in 1821, it reached its peak popularity from the 1920s through the 1960s, known for its fiction, human interest stories, and especially its illustrated covers by Norman Rockwell depicting idealized scenes of American life.
The magazine declined with the rise of television but continues in a reduced form today.
