A newsstand is a booth or stall that sells newspapers, magazines, and often snacks, cigarettes, or lottery tickets.
Newsstands are typically found on sidewalks, in transit stations, or in building lobbies: I grabbed a coffee and a paper from the newsstand on my way to work.
