decades
Ten-year spans
Decades is the plural of decade, a period of ten years.
Most often it refers to the named divisions of a century—the twenties, the sixties, the nineties: Fashion from the decade I grew up in is back in style.
Decades also conveys a long but vague stretch of time: I haven't seen her in decades.
