Thames River
London's main river
The Thames River is the major waterway flowing through southern England and London, about 215 miles long.
In American usage, "Thames River" follows the standard pattern of river names, though in British English it's simply "the Thames" or occasionally "the River Thames." Several smaller rivers in former British colonies also bear the name.
