carcass
Vulture's sought meal
A carcass is the dead body of an animal, especially one slaughtered for meat or left after predators have fed: Vultures circled the carcass.
The word extends to the framework or shell of something stripped or abandoned: the burned-out carcass of a car.
Applied to a living human body, it's humorous or self-deprecating: I need to drag my carcass out of bed.
