Swords
Dueling steel implements
Swords are bladed weapons with a long history of craftsmanship and combat.
Early swords were made of bronze, but iron and steel became dominant materials due to their durability and sharpness.
Swordsmiths often used techniques like folding steel to create stronger blades, as seen in Japanese katana.
Many swords have distinctive features, such as fuller grooves to lighten the blade or crossguards for hand protection.
Rituals like “knighting” often involve ceremonial swords.
The knight drew his sword, its polished steel gleaming in the sunlight.
