SOL

Beyond any help

Sol is the fifth note of a musical scale in solfège (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti, do), also spelled "so." In astronomy, Sol is the proper name for our sun, used to distinguish it from other stars: The spacecraft orbited Sol for three years.

In informal use, especially in science fiction, a sol is one Martian day, about 24 hours and 37 minutes.
