Selene
Olympian night-driver
Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon, often depicted driving a chariot across the night sky.
The name appears in English primarily as a given name and in scientific compounds: selenology is the study of the moon, selenium was named for its lunar-silver appearance.
Selene rose over the mountains in the old myths.
