lily pads
Pond surface greenery
Lily pads are the flat, round leaves of water lilies that float on the surface of ponds and lakes.
They're iconic features of still freshwater, often depicted with frogs sitting on them: A frog hopped from one lily pad to another.
The leaves can grow quite large, sometimes supporting small animals or objects.
