PACE
Policy program abbreviation
Pace is rate of movement or progress—how fast something happens or proceeds.
A runner sets a pace; a story moves at a leisurely pace.
To pace is to walk back and forth, often from anxiety or impatience: He paced the hallway waiting for news.
A pacemaker sets the rhythm for a heart or a race.
To keep pace with is to match speed or progress.
The preposition pace (pronounced PAH-chay) means "with due respect to" and signals polite disagreement: Pace the critics, the film succeeds on its own terms.
