trade union

Collective bargaining group

A trade union is an organization of workers formed to protect their collective interests—negotiating wages, working conditions, and benefits with employers.

Members pay dues and elect representatives to bargain on their behalf.

The trade union threatened to strike if management didn't meet their demands.

Also called a labor union, especially in American English.
