union dues
Worker organization payments
Union dues are regular payments made by members to their labor union, typically deducted from wages.
These fees fund the union's operations—collective bargaining, legal representation, strike funds, and administrative costs.
Dues are usually calculated as a percentage of wages or a flat monthly amount: Union dues come out of my paycheck automatically.
In some workplaces, non-members may pay agency fees covering bargaining costs without full membership.
