Nicktoons
Kids' cartoon channel
Nicktoons is the collective name for animated series produced by the Nickelodeon television network, beginning with *Rugrats*, *Doug*, and *Ren & Stimpy* in 1991.
The term distinguishes Nickelodeon's original cartoons from licensed or acquired programming: I grew up watching Nicktoons like SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents.
Nicktoons also became the name of a spin-off cable channel dedicated to these shows.
