kids
Children, informally speaking
Kids are children or young people.
The word is informal but extremely common, often preferred over the more formal "children" in everyday speech: I have three kids, the kids are at school.
Kid also means a young goat, which is the original sense.
As a verb, to kid is to joke or tease: I'm just kidding, Don't kid yourself.
