NNTP
Usenet transport standard
NNTP stands for Network News Transfer Protocol, the standard for distributing and retrieving Usenet articles across servers.
Developed in 1986, it enabled the global network of discussion groups that preceded modern web forums.
Though Usenet has faded from mainstream use, NNTP remains active for niche communities and binary file sharing.
