articles

Essays or things

Articles are words that precede nouns to indicate whether the noun refers to something specific or general.

English has three: the definite article the points to a particular thing (the book on your desk), while the indefinite articles a and an introduce something not previously identified (a stranger approached).

In grammar instruction, mastering article usage is notoriously difficult for speakers of languages that lack them.

Articles also denotes written pieces in publications, separate sections of legal documents, or individual items in a list or inventory.
