Mount Washington
New Hampshire's highest
Mount Washington is the highest peak in the northeastern United States, located in New Hampshire's White Mountains at 6,288 feet.
The summit is notorious for extreme weather—wind speeds once reached 231 mph there, a world record for decades.
We hiked Mount Washington in July and still hit snow at the top.
