Hartford is here
Connecticut is a state in the northeastern United States, one of the six New England states and one of the original thirteen colonies.
It's the third-smallest state by area but among the most densely populated and wealthiest.
The name comes from a Mohegan word meaning "long tidal river," referring to the Connecticut River that bisects the state.
