kit fox
Small American fox
A kit fox is a small fox native to arid regions of western North America, notable for its large ears and grayish-tan fur.
The name comes from its diminutive size—about the size of a house cat—making it one of the smallest wild canids in North America.
Kit foxes dig elaborate dens to escape the desert heat.
