Manchu
China's last dynasty
Manchu refers to a people native to Manchuria in northeastern China, or their language.
The Manchu conquered China in 1644 and established the Qing dynasty, ruling until 1912.
The Manchu language, related to other Tungusic languages, is now nearly extinct, though Manchu identity persists.
