bannermen
Lord's sworn soldiers
Bannermen are feudal vassals or retainers who serve under a lord's banner in war.
The term appears most often in historical fiction and fantasy, notably in George R.R.
Martin's novels, where bannermen owe military service and loyalty to their liege lord: The Starks called their bannermen to march south.
Historically, the term applied to Manchu military units organized under colored banners in imperial China.
