Koreans are people from Korea—either the Republic of Korea (South Korea) or the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)—or of Korean descent.
The term covers both nationality and ethnicity: Korean Americans make up the largest Korean population outside Asia.
As an adjective, Korean describes the language, culture, and things associated with the Korean peninsula: Korean cuisine, Korean cinema.
