Lend-Lease
Wartime supply program
Lend-Lease was a World War II program through which the United States supplied military equipment, food, and raw materials to Allied nations—primarily Britain and the Soviet Union—without requiring immediate payment.
The arrangement allowed Roosevelt to support the war effort while technically maintaining American neutrality.
Lend-Lease kept Britain fighting before America entered the war.
