America First
Prioritize the homeland
America First is a political slogan emphasizing prioritization of American interests—particularly in trade, immigration, and foreign policy—over international commitments or alliances.
The phrase dates to early 20th-century isolationism and the America First Committee that opposed U.S. entry into World War II.
It was revived as a nationalist rallying cry in the 2016 presidential campaign: The administration's America First agenda included renegotiating trade deals and restricting immigration.
