Sherman tanks
WWII American vehicles
Sherman tanks were American medium tanks mass-produced during World War II, named after Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman.
They became the backbone of Allied armored forces—reliable and numerous if not individually superior to German tanks.
In Cockney rhyming slang, Sherman tank rhymes with wank, making Shermans slang for masturbation: having a Sherman.
