LGBTQ

Queer community acronym

LGBTQ is an acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (or questioning), used as an umbrella term for sexual and gender minorities: LGBTQ rights, the LGBTQ community.

The acronym has expanded over time—earlier forms include LGB and LGBT, while longer versions add letters for other identities: LGBTQIA+ includes intersex and asexual.

The parade celebrates LGBTQ pride.
