cishet

Not queer-identifying

Cishet combines cisgender and heterosexual—someone whose gender identity matches their sex assigned at birth and who is attracted to the opposite sex.

The term emerged from LGBTQ+ discourse to name what had been the unmarked default: As a cishet person, I'm still learning about these issues.

Sometimes used dismissively: typical cishet nonsense.
