Koblenz

German river junction

Koblenz is a city in western Germany where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet.

The name comes from Latin *confluentes* (flowing together), describing this junction.

The city served as a Roman military post and later as a residence for German electors.

We took a river cruise that stopped at Koblenz.
