Hamburg

Germany's second city

Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city and principal seaport, located on the Elbe River near the North Sea.

The city has long been a major trading hub, and its name appears in compounds like hamburger, the ground beef patty that originated there or was named for it.

We flew into Hamburg and took the train to Berlin.
