Estate

Deceased's titled property

Estate is property, especially a large one with grounds and buildings: a country estate, a wine estate.

The word extends to everything a person owns, particularly at death—their estate passes to heirs or is settled in probate.

In law and finance, estate describes the nature of ownership: real estate is land and buildings.

Estate also means a class or order in society, as in the three estates of traditional European politics: clergy, nobility, and commoners.
