real estate agent
Home sales professional
A real estate agent is a licensed professional who helps people buy, sell, or rent property.
Agents represent either buyers or sellers, guiding them through listings, showings, negotiations, and paperwork.
They typically earn commission on completed transactions: Our real estate agent found us three houses in our price range.
Also called a realtor, though that term technically applies only to members of the National Association of Realtors.
