Counter-Strike
Bomb defusal game
Counter-Strike is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game franchise where teams of terrorists and counter-terrorists compete in objective-based rounds—planting or defusing bombs, rescuing or guarding hostages.
Originally a 1999 mod for Half-Life, it became one of the most influential competitive games in esports history: We stayed up all night playing Counter-Strike.
The series includes Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).
