Bear
Rugged outdoorsman's name
A bear is a large, heavy mammal with thick fur, a short tail, and powerful claws—grizzlies, polar bears, black bears.
Bear also means to carry or support weight, to endure I can't bear the suspense, or to produce bear fruit, bear children.
To bear in mind is to remember.
To bear down is to press or concentrate.
A bear market is one with falling prices, and a bear is an investor betting on decline—opposite of a bull.
In gay slang, a bear is a large, hairy man. (Lowercase bare means uncovered.)
