Mister Rogers
Gentle TV neighbor
Fred Rogers, known as Mister Rogers, was an American television host who created and starred in *Mister Rogers' Neighborhood*, a children's program that ran from 1968 to 2001.
His gentle, sincere manner became iconic: He has real Mister Rogers energy.
The name now serves as shorthand for patient kindness and wholesome goodness, sometimes used sarcastically for someone perceived as too earnest.
