world history
Humanity's collective chronicle
World history is the study of human civilization across all regions and time periods, examining how societies, cultures, and events have interconnected and influenced one another globally.
Unlike national or regional histories, it takes a broad view that emphasizes cross-cultural contact, trade networks, migrations, and the spread of ideas.
I took world history in high school before specializing in European studies.
The term also refers to the totality of past human events considered collectively.
