webcasting
Internet live transmission
Webcasting is broadcasting audio or video content over the internet.
Unlike traditional broadcasting, webcasts can reach global audiences without requiring radio frequencies or television channels.
A webcast may be live or recorded, and the term covers everything from corporate presentations to concerts: The company webcasted the shareholder meeting.
The verb webcast follows the same pattern as broadcast—webcast works for all tenses.
